The Finance Committee will meet to re-consider whether it can recommend to the District Court that Premium Payments be made. A decision from the Committee may come in June 2011.
Premium Payments in the Dow Settlement include a possible additional payment on approved Disease claims, possible increased severity payments (for those with approved Disease claims whose symptoms or disease have worsened), and a possible additional payment on approved Rupture claims. The SF-DCT reports that Premium Payments may be made after the District Court determines that all Base Payments (Disease Claims and Rupture Claims) and higher prior payments have been or can be paid or adequate provision has been made to assure these payments. The SF-DCT states that they cannot determine when Premium Payments will be paid.
